Port of Long Beach,
Fire Boat Station 20
This project includes the construction of a new 12,000 sq.ft., single-story fireboat bay enclosure and a new 9,800 sq.ft., two-story LEED Gold Certified Station building. The project will feature a new kitchen, locker room areas, sleeping quarters, new LED lights, etc. PMCS is providing full construction management services on this project, including providing LEED certification support.
The landside and waterside pile foundations are now complete, and the landside fire station masonry structure is completed and in the process of erecting steel. The waterside main deck is also complete, and the team is in the process of erecting the boat bay structure.  

Construction Value: $32 Million
Emergency Operations Center, City of Los Angeles
This state-of-the-art facility was built with blast resistant perimeter and equipped with the latest telecom, dispatch, and audio-visual equipment as well as water and power redundant systems. The project also included a 200-car post tensioned parking structure, and a 160-foot-tall communications tower and associated power facilities.

Service Provided: Responsible for change order negotiations, managing the RFI and submittal process, document control, coordination with governing agencies and chairing weekly meetings.

Construction Value: $90 Million
Fire Stations 4, 62, 78, 94, City of Los Angeles
Regional and standard fire stations that include vehicle bays, sleeping quarters, shower/locker facilities, state of the art kitchen, training facilities, conference and community rooms, fueling facilities, and other ancillary space. Projects also included extensive offsite improvements such as street widening, streetlights, and traffic signals.

Service Provided: Project and construction management, oversight of design & construction phases, performed constructability studies and value engineering to achieve LEED certification.

Construction Value: $60 Million
California Science Center
The K-5 school focuses on math and science, integrating language arts, social studies and fine arts in the curriculum. Part of the school and the associated Amgen Center Science learning resides in the historic Armory Building.
Service Provided: Negotiated a joint use agreement between the LAUSD and the California Science Center, oversaw the Division of State Architect review and approval and managed the project from construction through to delivery.

Los Angeles Police Academy
LAPD Police Academy Renovation, is a group of facilities comprising of 35,000 sf and some areas of historical significance; and construction of a new 20,000 sf facility to include a classroom and storage areas. PMCS provided support to the City Project Manager for her construction management activities, including coordination with the Architect, Inspector and the Contractor to resolve RFIs, Change Orders, schedule review, redesign and permitting to address field issues.
