Residential facility was a 124,892 GSF, 3- and 4-story building, adding 476 beds to the CSULB student housing program. This building featured student dorm rooms, pod study rooms, kitchens, multiple levels of community space, and distinctive outdoor courtyard areas. The project aimed to set a new standard for CSU and higher education, serving as a model for future high-performance buildings targeting CSU's carbon neutrality goals for 2030.


The Parkside North Housing building was designed to achieve progressive and regenerative sustainability goals. It became the first Net-Zero Energy, Living Building Challenge Petal Certified, and LEED Platinum residential building in the CSU system.


As part of PMCS Group, we served as the Assistant Construction Manager and Lead Project Engineer, providing comprehensive services that included monitoring the schedule and managing sub-contractors, reviewing, revising, and processing Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and shop drawings. We also provided on-site technical administrative support for construction administration and inspection, reviewed and negotiated change orders, processed payment application requests, and managed the schedule, delivery, and installation of owner-furnished materials.
